Who is eligible for the Wellness Webinar rewards?
- All CalPERS members (regardless of health plan enrollment) are eligible to earn rewards.
How do I earn rewards?
You can earn rewards two ways:
- Invite a co-worker(s): CalPERS members qualify for one $5 Starbucks gift card per quarter, regardless of how many co-workers you refer. Your referred co-worker(s) must complete all required fields in the registration form and attend entire duration of the webinar.

After your co-worker(s) registers for the Wellness Webinar, email us at CalPERSAccountMgr@blueshieldca.com. Please ensure to provide your co-worker(s) full name, email address, and Wellness Webinar event name/date. A Blue Shield representative will reach out to you after validation to issue your gift card.
OR
- Attend 10 Wellness Webinars: Each year CalPERS members are eligible to receive a charcuterie set. Participants are required to attend the entire duration of all 10 webinars and register with the same name and email address for each webinar to qualify. After you have attended 10 Wellness Webinars, you will be contacted by a Blue Shield representative via email to confirm your shipping address. Your charcuterie set will be sent via UPS, and tracking information will be provided as a signature is required for delivery.
When is the last day to participate in the rewards program?
- The rewards program ends on December 31st of each year.
When will I receive my Starbucks gift card?
- Your $5 Starbucks gift card will be sent on the last Friday of the month after the webinar and delivered to the email address provided in your registration form.
