HMO TRIO Plan
The HMO TRIO Plan:
- Has no deductible, just fixed copays.
- Is typically more affordable than other plans.
- Features a select network of local providers who closely coordinate your care.
- Offers a concierge service to help you with everything from benefit questions to scheduling doctor’s appointments.

Students, long-term travelers and family members living apart can rely on access to health care from Blue Shield and Blue Cross plans across the country. - Call the Caravailable for eligible HMO TRIO members only

HMO Plan
With our HMO Plan you will:
- Only pay a fixed copayment for most services
- Be asked to select a primary care physician (PCP) to coordinate your care and refer you to specialists and hospitals within their medical group.
PPO $aver/HSA and PPO Super $aver/HSA Plans
With the PPO $aver/HSA and PPO Super $aver/HSA Plans you can:
- See any doctor you choose, though you usually pay less for services that are provided by PPO network providers.
- Self-refer to specialists.
- Pay a copayment or coinsurance for most services after the plan’s deductible has been met.
- Have the option to pair with a federal tax-free health savings account (HSA) to help you save money.
- Have the the broad Blue Shield PPO network available to you.
NO DEDUCTIBLE (EPO) Plan
With the NO DEDUCTIBLE (EPO) Plan:
- Choose from PPO physicians and hospitals
- Access Blue Shield's broad PPO network
- Except for emergencies, your medical treatment is not covered by non-network providers
